Book of Beasties Awarded Alongside Healthcare Industry Titans

London-based children’s mental health startup, Book of Beasties came out victorious at the Healthcare Estates Awards, receiving a Highly Commended award for its self titled resource Book of Beasties: The Mental Wellness Card Game.

The developer trio, who launched their now multi-award winning early intervention at Alexandra Palace last year, were up against some healthcare industry veterans and large organisations at the Manchester conference centre.

Although coming in a close second to an industry leading development company, the Product Innovation Category was reportedly the most competitive and highly regarded as the leading category of the glitzy evening.

The black tie ceremony followed the Healthcare Estates conference, during which the startup’s director and co-developer, Phil J Tottman hosted a seminar on Book of Beasties and how it is raising emotional literacy amongst primary school aged children.

Tottman commented on the win, “We are truly honoured to just be pitted against some of the incredible and leading companies in this sector, let alone be recognised and awarded for the work we do.

“This Highly Commended Award means the world to us, it proves that we are making waves and continuing to raise awareness of the importance of children’s mental health.”

Book of Beasties also recently won at the Design In Mental Health Network Awards, where they led in the Product Innovation of the Year Category.

The company are offering schools a chance to save money on their CPD accredited Wellness Workshops for World Mental Health Day if they book before 1st December.
